Application for BME Major (Undergraduate)

The Ohio State University admissions process is dedicated to creating a student body with academic strength and a diversity of backgrounds and experiences, to promote the strongest learning environment possible. The central Admissions Office considers a variety of factors in the shaping of a well-rounded freshman class. See: http://undergrad.osu.edu/apply/freshmen-columbus.

BME is similarly looking for well-rounded students with strong academic credentials who bring a diversity of backgrounds and experiences.  Examples of diversity include:

  • Enrollment in a challenging freshman curriculum (Honors, Scholars, FEH, etc)
  • Bringing cultural, economic, racial or geographic diversity, or being first in their family to attend college
  • Demonstrating an outstanding talent in a particular area
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities, work experience, or leadership positions

Please also let us know in your response to the diversity question if:

  • Your academic performance was adversely affected by factors not within your control
  • You are eligible for and will benefit from organized support services at Ohio State

**IMPORTANT: Please plan to complete your application in one sitting, and keep an electronic copy of all your responses.  The website may not save any information on a partially-completed application (especially on a shared computer, if you shut it down, or after one week passes from the time you begin the application).**
