BME Senior Receives Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Research

On October 11th, Brittany Shrefler, a BME senior advised by Michael Firstenberg, Department of Surgery and Keith Gooch, BME Professor, received an award for Outstanding Undergraduate Research at the 6th Annual Research Day for the Dorothy M. Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute (DHLRI). Brittany received this award for her poster entitled “Multilinear Regression Analysis of Clinical Parameters Predicating Saphenous Vein Graft Intimal Hyperplasis”.

DHLRI Research Day is an annual event featuring undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and research faculty and staff. Faculty members serve as judges for the poster competition and awards are given. This year the event received a record of 130 abstracts. Congratulations to Brittany!
