BMES Receives Mentoring Achievement Award!

BMES (Biomedical Engineering Society), has awarded its OSU Chapter the Mentoring Achievement Award for their mentoring program and industry collaboration over the past year.

The OSU Chapter's mentoring program was lead by BMES student officers Ashley Chiu, John Collins, Allison Yard, and Anja Brkljacic. The industry collaboration and professional development was lead by Betsy Maione. 

As recipient of this award, the OSU chapter will be one of the featured speakers at the BMES 2013 Student Chapter – Outreach and Mentoring Best Practices session on Friday, September 27th, in the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington.  The chapter will give 20 minute presentation on the OSU BMES Chapter’s Best Practices.

This award also consists of a plaque, travel support for two members of the chapter up to $1,000 and two complimentary Annual Meeting registrations. The plaque will be presented at the BMES Town Hall and Awards Ceremony, Thursday, September 26, in Seattle, WA.
