OSU Framework Project grants funding to Dr. Ruegsegger

Posted:

Mark Ruegsegger, Associate Professor of Practice in Biomedical Engineering, was recently awarded a one year grant from the ONE Ohio State University Framework Project. The proposal,”Wayfinding Technologies to Connect the Community with the Campus,” plans to continue developing a tablet- or smartphone- based mapping program using “wayfinding” technologies to assist persons with (or without) disabilities in navigating the campus paths. The long-term goal is to build many levels of assistance to help the community navigate around campus, including academic buildings, tours and historical sites, food places and more. The proposal is in collaboration with Prof. Rajiv Ramnath in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the OSU ADA Coordinator’s Office.

Congratulations to Dr. Ruegsegger, and we wish him luck with his project!
