BME PhD candidates receive two-year fellowships from American Heart Association
Congratulations to BME PhD Candidates Juliet Varghese and David Gross, who were both recently awarded Pre-Doctoral Fellowships from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Juliet's project entitled “Non-invasive oxygen saturation estimation with quantitative MRI T2 mapping” is a competitive renewal award and represents her third year of funding by the AHA.
David's project entitled “Improving patient safety by quantifying vascular tissue damage from RF heating of cardiovascular devices during MRI” is his first AHA fellowship award and is funded for two years.
Both Juliet and David work in the laboratory of Professor Orlando Simonetti, and cardiologist Dr. Subha Raman is a co-sponsor on Juliet’s project.
