He receives $1.4 million NIH R01 Grant
Xiaoming He, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering, was recently awarded an National Institutes of Health (NIH) – National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) grant. The $1.4 million R01 grant will fund a four-year project (April 1, 2017 – March 31, 2021) to develop novel microfluidic encapsulation technology for obtaining healthy eggs from women with compromised ovarian function as a promising strategy for restoring and preserving female fertility.
Dr. He will collaborate with Dr. Thomas L. Toth, MD, Director, Vincent In Vitro Fertilization Unit and Director, Reproductive Endocrinology/ Infertility Fellowship Training Program, Massachusetts General Hospital.
