Alexis Burns recognized for exceptional teaching

Alexis Burns, graduate student, Biomedical Engineering, was named one of the top 10 graduate teachers this year. Burns will be receiving the Graduate Associate Teaching Award (GATA) because of her accomplishment. The GATA is a very competitive teaching award given to exceptional graduate teaching assistants in all disciplines at Ohio State. This award comes with a $1,500 prize.

Dr. Tanya Nocera, assistant professor-clinical, BME, said, “Alexis has been critical to the evolving improvements in BME 3702, and I’m thrilled she is being honored for her contributions and hard work.”
