Heitkemper selected for the Center for Clinical and Translational Science TL1 Training Program Award

Congratulations to Megan Heitkemper! We are pleased to announce that the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) Executive Committee has selected her application for support by the CCTS TL1 Training Program. Megan is currently a graduate student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. She was chosen from a very competitive field of applicants. This award will support her

research project, “Development of Durable Polymeric Trans-catheter Prosthetic Pulmonary Valves for use in Pediatric Population,” and career development activities.

The award will run from August 16, 2019 to August 15, 2020 and includes full tuition support and a stipend. Megan is advised by Lakshmi Dasi, professor, biomedical engineering.
