23rd Annual College of Engineering Faculty Awards

The College of Engineering annually honors faculty and researchers for outstanding teaching, research and outreach at the Distinguished Faculty Awards!

Congratulations to the following BME faculty recipients of the College of Engineering’s 2020 Distinguished Faculty awards:

Faculty Mentoring Award:

Keith Gooch, professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering- For his tireless efforts to support his junior colleagues in successfully navigating faculty life in all areas, including scholarship, teaching and service.

Faculty Safety Award:

Samir Ghadiali, professor and chair, Department of Biomedical Engineering — For his leadership and commitment to safety, proven by his research lab’s longstanding history of perfect EHS Safety Inspections.

Lumley Research Awards:

Daniel Gallego-Perez, assistant professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering- For outstanding researchers in the College of Engineering who have shown exceptional activity and success in pursuing new knowledge of a fundamental or applied nature.
