Ohio State BMES Student Chapter receives 2022 college awards for excellence
The College of Engineering, along with Engineers’ Council, hosts the annual Student Organization Awards (SOA) each spring. The event recognizes outstanding engineering and Knowlton School student organizations and their advisors. All engineering and architecture student organizations recognized by the college are eligible for consideration. We are happy to announce that the Ohio State BMES Student Chapter received a total of three awards this year.
Dr. Alexis Ortiz-Rosario received the 2022 Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award for his leadership and advising role with Ohio State BMES Student Chapter! The Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award recognizes and honors the efforts of the student organization advisor for their leadership, guidance and support of the organization.
Ohio State’s BMES Student Chapter received 2 additional awards:
- 2022 People’s Choice Award – determined by live audience voting by and received a $500 prize.
- 2022 Outstanding Partnership with Industry Award – recognizing the organization that demonstrates deep, multifaceted partnership with a corporation or non-profit entity. $400 prize was awarded.
The BMES Ohio State chapter is co-advised by Dr. Mark Ruegsegger and Dr. Alexis Ortiz-Rosario.
