Professor Gooch’s research focuses on tissue engineering as applied to the cardiovascular system, cartilage, and diabetes, with emphasis on the regulation of the differentiation, growth, and remodeling of cells and tissues. He has published a host of articles in this area and is co-author of Physical Forces: Their Effects on Cells and Tissues. Dr. Gooch’s work has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and the American Heart Association.
