Congratulations to Caitlin Jones, BME gradate research associate, for recently placing in the research poster competition held at the 19th Annual Scientific Meeting, hosted by The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James). Jones poster titled "Stromal PTEN Loss Increases Cellular Contractility and Extracellular Matrix Alignment to Promote Breast Density and Cancer Cell Migration," placed third in the basic science category. Jones is currently a PhD candidate in BME assistant professor, Dr. Jennifer Leight’s laboratory.

The OSUCCC – James Annual Scientific Meeting provides Comprehensive Cancer Center members and other faculty, researchers and staff the opportunity to share programmatic research efforts, advance new ideas for projects, foster principal investigator interactions, identify opportunities for new collaborations and highlight and celebrate some of the most successful projects over the prior year. The audience comprises basic scientists, clinicians, translational researchers, residents, fellows, postdoctoral and graduate students and other cancer program staff. One of the highlights of the meeting is a poster session that allows researchers to present their work, review others’ work, interact and collaborate.
